ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs complex product/system design, system analysis and programming activities on application software to ensure that company and client technology needs are met.
Serves as technical/software development lead on software/application conversion project.
Assists in resolving customer concerns and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements to ensure customer satisfaction with product.
Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
Evaluates programs written by lower level staff to ensure adherence to company and client specifications.
Participate in the analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and implementation of assigned projects and coordinating their releases
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and demonstrated competence in Systems Development using JAVA/J2EE, JSP, HTML, JavaScript, JSTL, XML, JMS, and IBM MQ.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with IBM WBI, including middleware and message broker architecture, IBM's WebSphere MQ Series and WebSphere Business Integrator Message Broker, with working knowledge of multiple operating systems and hardware platforms, especially UNIX.
Experience and understanding of relational database concepts and use of DB2 SQL queries.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 3 years of Java/J2EE Design, Development, and testing experience in multiplatform environments.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field preferred.
Three or more years of product design and support or systems development experience.
