Contribute to the development, implementation and execution of the Supply Chain Process. Work with leadership in developing appropriate strategies, tactics and technology enablers for the Supply Chain Processes. The successful candidate will become the in-house technical expert in Production Planning (PPDS), scheduling, and MRP. S/he will be expected to be knowledgeable in MRP, Supply Chain optimization, and Production Planning concepts, and will become the R/3 and APO systems functional expert in those areas. S/he will also have thorough knowledge of the R/3 PP area, experience in Production Planning Distributed Scheduling (PPDS) configuration, and CIF maintenance on the APO side. A considerable amount of day-to-day interaction with the planning and scheduling department will be required to understand the business issues, and to provide technical training and support to business users.



Essential Duties:

Act as subject matter expert in the development of processes related to the following areas: Production Planning, Detailed Scheduling, PP/DS related Master Data, knowledge of R/3 and APO Master Data relationships.
Implement APO SNP Capacity Evaluation and Planning for Labor and equipment/machines.
Implement exception based Planning processes using APO Alert management (SNP and PP/DS)
Improve Finite Scheduling processes using PP/DS
Improve Master Data set up through clear articulation and training on the impact of SAP R/3 PP/PI Resource and Recipe settings .
Train and educate users on the business process of Supply Planning and increase user adoption of defined business solutions and processes.
Improve integration of SNP with DP and R/3 MRP processes.

Qualifications:
B.S. in engineering, operations, or Information Technology (IT) or equivalent experience.
3-7 years of experience in:
o Planning, Master Scheduler and/or Material Manager experience
Must have SAP APO (3.1 or higher) experience particularly with PPDS, SNP and/or CIF configuration and maintenance.
Ability to document detailed process and functional specifications as required.
Proven successful track record on cross-functional team projects, including leading teams
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to build a business case for proposed solution
Strong strategic skills with ability and vision to map out “to be” business processes
Demonstrated ability to influence and foster collaborative relationships
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
Candidate has participated in one or more SAP R/3 implementations while performing configuration in the IMG.
Comprehensive knowledge of SAP R/3 PP module, production order processing, BOM and routing configuration, and other production-related master data.
Thorough understanding of MRP concepts, and various optimization techniques for PP. CPIM certification/training is desirable.
Solid understanding and experience in software systems development, including business requirements elicitation and documentation, business process modeling, and test case development and/or execution.
Willingness to learn and be trained to support other functional areas of SAP and/or other shop floor execution systems.
Technical Experience and other Requirements:

Experience implementing SAP R3 and/or mySAP ERP, a plus
Experience with ASAP methodology and SAP Solution Manager, a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Consumer Products Industry Experience
