Tasks & Responsibilities
Summary:
The Financial Business Analyst acts as a liaison between the finance organization and other departments such as IT and Operations. Initial Project will be an ERP implementation and then the role will be as a project manager for all major finance initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
• Initial responsibility will be to participate in the implementation of a fully integrated SAP solution with focus on the Finance/Accounting organization
• Understand the impact on the Finance organization of the following ERP initiatives
o Implementing new EDI trading partners
o Integrating with new business partners
o Training users on system capabilities
• Develop and implement in the business process improvements for Finance:
o Conduct interviews with Key Business Owners
o Gather requirements and define effective and efficient system solutions
o Prepare process documentation
o Analyze data and make recommendations for improvement
o Gain acceptance from business and facilitate process improvements
•Develop business test conditions, test cases and scripts. Coordinate user acceptance testing
•Research and analyze improvement opportunities, research best practices, facilitate implementation improvements for Finance
•Cross functional Project Management for future Finance and Accounting initiatives.
Profile of the suitable candidate
•Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems or related field
•5 + years of experience within Finance and IT
•Experience with Tier 1 ERP system (SAP preferred)
•Proven ability leading medium sized projects or multiple small projects simultaneously.
•Experience developing and documenting business requirements
•Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
•Attention to detail, accuracy and organization a must
•Initial travel up to 25%
