Job Description: The Production DBA team leader contributes as a senior member of the Operations department at AdBrite and works closely with Engineering. This role has primary responsibility leading the DBA team members in charge of all the company's internal and customer facing production databases spread across the world. The role includes both architecture responsibilities and administration responsibilities.

Reporting to: VP of Operations

Primary Responsibilities:
• Design systems of databases used by the company to create the most reliable, efficient and trusted marketplace for digital advertising.
• Lead the production DBA team in charge of supporting and maintaining all production databases.
• Administer and support existing databases while assuring optimized performance, stability, monitoring, and uptime.
• Work with software, network & systems engineers to define requirements for and implement new databases to meet the growing needs of the business.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in applicable field, such as computer science or MIS.
- 5+ years experience administering customer-facing databases (MySQL or other); 1+ years experience in a team lead capacity.
- Experience with distributed database systems.
- Demonstrated experience with relational database physical design.
- Demonstrated experience with relational database performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities and initiative.
- Ability to provide a professional interface to internal and external customers and vendors.
- Ability to learn quickly.
