Job Description:
Transformation - SAP FP&A Architect
Description: An architect role within the finance work stream for Release 5 taking responsibility for implementing the planning process for the FP&A group. The work will build on work in R3.
The role will include initial scope confirmation work with the FP&A (PCNA, Corporate, PBSG and PepsiCo's other horizontal operations), preparing end-to-end documentation of processes, configuration, realization, testing and implementation.
The ultimate success of the role will be judged using post go-live metrics in Q1 2009.
The analyst will be a member of a team of PepsiCo employees and consultants.
Skill Sets
One of the key success factors for the role is the ability to apply the processes and systems that have been developed and implemented for previous Releases, to leverage learnings from the Releases and to implement new solutions based on the new requirements of the FP&A group operations.
This role should ensure that all requirements stated by the FP&A group are met. If not met, this person should assist with providing satisfactory explanations of why they will be bypassed.
The ability to understand, articulate and design financial processes is important, as is the ability to communicate within the Release team, with One Up colleagues, and with the customer groups.
- Solution Development
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with the business SME's
- Assist with gaining realization sign-off from the business SMEs
- Create data in Development and QA environments as required to complete configuration unit testing and integration testing
- Assist with defining test conditions and test cycles for system testing coordinating with system test lead
- Conduct integration testing and document and resolve issues
- Assist with gaining formal acceptance of solution at the end of User Acceptance Test
- Cross Team Integration
- Complete RICEF FD/FMDs on time and provide support to technology team during development
- Enable effective, efficient working relationship with the technology teams
- Document detailed business process procedures (BPPs)
- Provide input and support to training development process
- Communicate effectively within and across teams -- OVER-communicate
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience with finance or accounting
- Knowledge of BPS required, BW perferred. Specific SAP implementation experience required
- Significant financial operations expertise in a large corporate environment
- Experience in delivering baseline and project accountabilities required
- Strong communication skills -- including the ability to work with colleagues at a variety of levels of the company.
Education Level:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or IT, MBA preferred.
