SENIOR HRIS ANALYST
DESCRIPTION:
The Senior HRIS Specialist has responsibility for supporting a broad range of HRIS solutions through the maintenance and monitoring of human resource information, the development and adherence to consistent HR policies and processes, and the support of stakeholders who utilize HR information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Act as subject matter expert / super power user for SAP HCM solution. Act as an escalation point for end-users who are experiencing difficulties in using the system.
• Maintain organization structure information within SAP. Provide timely updates of information and interact with the organization to support organization structure changes.
• Load, audit and report on data and make mass changes or other direct data updates to HR data.
• Manages the ongoing SAP event maintenance and benefits open enrollment.
• Maintain workflow rules and processes and benefit tables, benefit plans, rates, eligibility rules and updates.
• Work with the Enterprise Applications group and the HRIS user to research and identify the root causes for data problems.
• Establish and monitor processes to asses the quality of HR data and monitor the use of HR data through the organization.
• Propose, document, and implement new or revised processes to improve data integrity and usability of HR data.
• Work with members of the HR and IT teams to implement feature and functionality enhancements that will serve client's immediate and longer term HR needs.
• Test and approve system configuration changes.
• Participate in HCM training and change management activities.
• Support reporting and analytics activities by writing queries. Create ad-hoc reports using SAP, Excel and other reporting tools.
• Review security administration activities to ensure appropriate levels of access. Document and roles and access and ensure HR practices, policies, authorizations and access are SOX and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with other HRIS products, such as PeopleClick and Halogen.
The Senior HRIS Specialist also identifies business and process needs for maintaining and sharing HR information and communications with external departments The Senior HRIS Specialist may be assigned as a team member in projects to support these efforts including the roll out of new modules or HRIS systems.
This role is also responsible for training and assisting the HRIS users in the effective and consistent application of operational practices and as the first line of troubleshooting.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience with SAP HCM applications, specifically Personnel Administration, and Organization Management is preferred as is experience with the following modules: Benefits, Learning Management System, HR Portals, Workflow and Employee and Manager Self Service. Experience with other HCM systems will be considered.
• Advance knowledge of computer productivity applications (e.g., MS Excel, Word).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving/analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and excel in collaborative environment.
• Basic understanding of HR practices in benefits, compensation, EEO, Data Security and HIPAA.
• Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality of Human Resource and Company data.
• Experience with reporting tools.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word/Excel and Human Resource systems.
