This position will be based out of the Montgomery, AL region, and report to our client site in Shorter, AL
Duties and Description:
* Position will be responsible for providing on-call and technical support that will include hardware builds, installations, and maintenance of systems.
* Position will have in-depth field / technical expertise in one or more disciplines or product lines, and will participates in a few assigned projects to plan, test and install the server equipment, network systems and software related to new installations, support, maintenance and upgrades of platforms
* Participate in the installation and testing of network servers and related software for gaming systems applications, gaming machines, communications controllers and peripheral devices in both test lab and customer locations.
* This position will interact directly with Customers, Engineers, Quality Assurance, Software Development, Casino Services and Gaming Regulatory agencies to ensure timely system installations and customer satisfaction during the installation, go live, and for long term service support during the life span of the system.
* Individual must be able to provide detailed troubleshooting instructions to field support personnel in remote locations to maintain the server equipment and the communications network.
* Participate in real-time data analysis and evaluation of field implementation requirements for system deployment and
recommend modifications or program enhancements to eliminate design anomalies or to improve product performance to systems software development engineers and Product and Quality Assurance.
* The position will be required to be on a rotation on-call as assigned.
* Responsibilities will include other duties as may be assigned by management.
Requirements
* Qualifications:
* BSEE/BSCS or an equivalent degree plus a minimum of three (3) years of work experience in engineering, software
programming in a design and development capacity, Quality Assurance, database administration, Information
Technology, or an engineering support capacity.
* OR
* Minimum five (5) years of work experience in engineering, software programming in a design and development
capacity, Quality Assurance, database administration, Information Technology, or an engineering support capacity.
* Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in server and computer systems including, but not limited to OS installation, software support, database administration, system installation, and must have a demonstrated background in several of the following areas Windows NT/2000/2003, 'C++' programming, SQL deployment / administration, network design, server clustering, virtualization, SAN Management and administration, CMDB, ITIL practices, or
hardware/software setup and installation.
* Information Technology experience preferred in the configuration, peripherals and network equipment maintenance, network troubleshooting on systems communicate with peripherals devices. Experience required with setting up network
user account access, and a MCSE, MCDBA, or CCNA is preferred.
* Ability to multi-task in a challenging and dynamic real-time support environment is required while working with other members of the engineering group.
* Must possess strong analytical skills; ability to perform with minimal supervision; possess good organizational and project management skills; strong oral and written communications skills.
* Ability to share knowledge and expertise constructively and sets an above standard example through consistency in requirements and deliverables.
* Frequent and extended domestic and international travel is required and mandatory. The position provides 24/7 On-Call support with varied shifts and overtime as needed to support various projects.
* Employment contingent upon the receipt of an approved background investigation, the ability to obtain gaming cards from various State and tribal gaming organizations and a Motor Vehicle Report.
