Description
The key responsibility of this position is to lead and manage new IT initiatives in the Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics areas of Supply Chain Management in a global environment. This position reports to the Manager of SCM applications within the Corporate IT department. Responsibilities of this position will include:
Supporting the existing supply chain environment. Working with the onsite and offshore teams to resolve production issues as per critical support SLAs
Acting as liaison between the business users and the support teams to communicate problems and resolutions
Analyzing business requirements and developing system proposals and specifications for new functionality
Leading transformational SCM project teams to ensure the successful implementation of new IT initiatives on schedule and within budget
Working with business and internal information technology management and staff to scope, allocate resources, and prioritize department projects and efforts.
Evaluating technology products; participate in assessment and selection of purchased software applications
Building relationships and interacting with external vendors as and when required
Participating in strategic planning for internal information technology as appropriate, providing insight to technical solutions that may be leveraged to provide first quartile business performance
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience implementing/supporting SAP Production Planning (PP) with the emphasis on Flexible Planning, Demand Management, MRP in a mixed discrete / repetitive manufacturing environment. Hands on Materials Management (MM) experience as must.
Experience supporting SD and WM environments integrated with PP and MM a plus.
Experience with emerging technology and SAP new dimensional SCM products (SCM 5.0, APO, SNC, etc.) is a plus.
Excellent understanding of SAP PP module and its integration with MM, Finance and Product Costing
IT project life cycle experience; experience with formal project and testing methodologies;familiarity with system implementation standards
Ability to communicate and work well in a cross-functional team environment and in an offshore/onsite model
Proven track record in requirements gathering, blueprint, and implementing optimal solutions based on business requirements
Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization, including executive management
Must be a team player that motivates and educates other team members
Inspires behavioral change of team members and business counterparts per PB vision
Must be a self-starter with drive to move to management levels over time
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated agility and ability to quickly adapt to change.
