Our client has an immediate need for a Java Software Engineer for a long term contract at it's location here in Knoxville, TN. Sr. Java Software Engineer will be performing a leading role in the re-engineering of the company's Content Management System, leading online web business and company website. The Sr. Java Development will be done in a Agile methodology environment and utilizing Spring Framework. Sr. Java Software Engineer will be part of a growing team doing full life cycle Java development and making recommendations to the company's web presence. Customer is looking for individuals with a proven Java Developer track record of working on high volume, high traffic, high visibility projects. This position is heavy back end and some light front end development on web applications in Java Development.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified Java Developer candidates should have a proven track record of Java experience working on high volume, high traffic, high visibility projects at the enterprise level.
*A senior, experienced Java developer with success stories about their previous designs and projects.
*A Java pro. Someone who read the whole Java API, and keeps up on interesting 3rd party libraries. Candidate should have 5+ years of experience in Java Web development. You find the JSP/Servlet API elementary. You know the HTTP protocol. You have war stories about browser bugs and template languages.
*Java Developer experience writing and debugging multi-threaded applications
* Spring Framework exp.
* J2EE, Swing, JSP, XML, XSLT
*Excellent communication skills.
*Must work effectively in both team and individual environments.
*BA/BS from an accredited college or university.
Experience in a Scrum / Agile environment highly desireable
