Position: Technical System Analyst - Tibco BusinessWorks
Must Have:
Experience in Installation, Configuration, Administration and Debugging of Tibco BusinessWorks operating on Solaris operating systems.
This position will be primarily responsible for software product support for the evaluation, installation, maintenance and trouble shooting of the Tibco BusinessWorks implementations.
Key Accountabilities:
Participate in the evaluation of new technology to enhance the existing software portfolio or to replace existing solutions where it makes sense from both a technical and cost perspective.
Research, identify and make recommendations on exploitation of new feature / function of supported vendor software to ensure proper use of technology while adhering to long-term architectural direction
Maintain a good understanding of supported technology as well as interfacing technology
Ensure that supported vendor software and written code maintained by the incumbent are maintained at appropriate levels to ensure the systems remain on the leading edge of technologyThe expectation is that vendor software will be upgraded to new version, release and/or maintenance levels within 6-9 months of said software becoming available
Ensure that changes to supported vendor software and written code maintained by the incumbent are documented in the change management system and emergency changes destined for the production systems are within the organizational standards
Ensure that problems with supported vendor software and written code maintained by the incumbent are isolated and resolved in a timely manner such that impact is kept to an absolute minimum
Provide technical advice to operations staff in NCC and application developers as required to assist in resolution of their problems
Share experiences and knowledge with all members of the team through open communications.
Knowledge / Experience:
Previous experience with the installation, configuration, administration and debugging of Tibco BusinessWorks
Previous experience with one of Microsoft Biztalk 2004 or 2006, Vitria BusinessWare or PegaSystems PRPC would be of added benefit.
Working knowledge of the following:
Solaris
LDAP directory servers
Script programming
High availability solutions
Load balancing solutions
Microsoft Windows Server (added benefit)
IBM AIX (added benefit)
Familiar with ESB concepts.
