General: Serve as Oracle Database Administrator, managing all aspects of
database performance, replication, and recoverability of the Windchill database. Assist application programmers and analysts in developing data interfaces between Windchill and other IT systems. Manage multiple environments such as production, pre-production, and development. Manage and review various log files. Apply software updates to Oracle and Windchill. Interface with OS/Backup personnel to ensure that proper system backups are performed. Manage the synchronization of remote file vaults. Manage and tune web servers. Manage integration components including LDAP, data interchange components, and reporting tools. Other duties as assigned. Available after hours and weekends to provide remote and on site technical support, systems upgrades, and project work as needed.
Required Skills: 5+ years as an Oracle Database Administrator. HPUX installation and management, HPUX Shell and Pearl Scripts.
Experience with large web-based enterprise level JAVA based applications,
Apache and Tomcat Web Server Technologies.
Pluses: Graduate degree. Oracle Database Certification. Familiar with PTC Windchill or other PLM product. Knowledge of a regulated environment, i.e. NASA, Military / Defense, healthcare products.
