Corporate headquarters of a high growth public company is seeking a strong mid-to-senior level Developer to join its core infrastructure development team. The Senior C++ Developer will develop and maintain applications, systems and framework infrastructure for a state-of-the-art internet-based electronic commodities and futures exchange.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? As a C++ Developer for the ICE Development Team, the individual will be part of the team responsible for managing the design, development, implementation and support of the ICE Trading Platform. The individual will also be expected to work on the development of other software applications. The ideal candidate would be an expert in C++ design and development, and have experience developing or interfacing with real-time trading applications.
REQUIREMENTS
? Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field;
? 5+ years experience developing with C++;
? 1+ year experience developing with Java;
? Experience with and strong understanding of TCP/IP and socket-based development, multi-threaded server side development, C++ performance tuning and performance tools, C++ debugging and memory profiling tools, and SSL;
? Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment;
? Ability to work independently and productively under pressure, and effectively multi-task;
? Prefer 1 + year experience with XML, FIX, and at least one of the following: JMS, RMI, CORBA or TIBCO;
? Prefer experience working with financial trading systems, and have an understanding of swaps, futures, options, and spreads, though strong C++ developers will be considered without trading system background;
? Prefer experience with Integrated Service Vendors (ISVs) in the electronic trading industry.
