Title: Enterprise Systems Management Architect
Job Description:
This position is for an Enterprise Systems Management Architect. The intent
of the position is to identify a thought leader in the area that can
overhaul the corporation's entire systems monitoring capabilities. The focus
of this position is in monitoring for Availability and Capacity Management.
The ESM architect will be responsible for meeting with the customer to
understand the technical environment and monitoring needs and develop a
vision for enterprise-wide monitoring. The architect will develop a roadmap
that outlines how Our Client can implement the vision in a phased
approach.
The architect will meet with key stakeholders to define the requirements for
each component of the monitoring infrastructure, will develop a detailed
design for the system, and will lead a small team to deploy the
technologies. In addition, the architect will re-engineer work processes for
the NOC and Operations team to best leverage the tools. Finally, the
architect will educate the team on best practices.
Once the base architecture has been deployed, the architect will continue to
identify tools, technologies, and techniques to continually increase
efficiencies in environment.
Required skills and experience:
- 6 + years total work experience in monitoring systems
- 3 + years experience in selecting and deploying enterprise-wide monitoring
tools in a
heterogeneous environment.
- 3 + years understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies in
Enterprise Systems Management.
- 2 + years hands-on experience supporting a CiscoWorks system
- 2 + years monitoring network devices,
- 2 + years of deploying monitoring tolls for the following technology
stacks:
- Sun Solaris 10
- Windows 2003 Server, SQL Server, Exchange Server
- Oracle RDBMS, App Server, Portal
- Web Services
- 3+ years Netcool and NetIQ
