Very small, profitable (since day 1) high-traffic consumer facing internet company was founded in 2003, spun off from it's wildly successful parent company (also consumer facing) which was later acquired and became part of a much bigger publicly traded company. This 5 person spin off (all developers, including the VP) just recently made their break from the parent company and once again became a privately held company. Same team, board members and genius brains as before, except now they are no longer a publicly traded company. A great thing for new employees coming on board now.
Company remains profitable and currently seeks a talented generalist with strong native Java programming skills - web presentation skills are also key (CSS, HTML, JavaScript) + he/she should not be afraid to log into a router or add a disk to a Linux box. Someone who is also not afraid of taking some risks / trying out new things and wants to help this group take the company to the next level. Speed and finesse are also needed attributes.

Office in Cambridge (Harvard sq area). Parking is paid for employees. 8 hour days - offers very cool work with great work/life balance. Salary: targeting around 100 to 110k, but flexible. Package will also include stock options.
