Tech Lead/Architect, Sr Software Eng, Software Eng - VB.NET, brand new product team division
Our long-time software client is currently seeking multiple VB.NET developers (Sr Software Eng and Software Engineer) and a Tech Lead / Architect who can lead a small team of developers + lead the new design efforts (about 5 to be hired, which hopefully the new lead can help to hire), all working for a brand new product team division. The new Lead will report directly to the VP of Eng, Bivium's direct contact.
Working directly with the VP of Eng.
Company develops medical imaging and information systems for large hospitals. They recently acquired the source code for a billing system that they intend to redesign from 80% VB 6 + 20% VB.NET to 100% VB.NET and then integrate it with their existing product suite for a true end to end medical imaging and information system. The software that is being coupled to the new billing system includes advanced Java, C++, multi-threading, SQL with a rich, interactive Swing client. Great opportunity to work with lots of really smart people and broaden your technical skills.
For the Tech Lead / Architect (25% coding, 30% management and 55% focused on overseeing + leading the new design efforts)
Must have:
- BS/MS in Computer Science (or other engineering discipline).
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- 2+ years of programming with VB and/or VB.NET.
- MS SQL Server 2005.
- Previous experience mentoring/managing a small team of developers.
- Ability to design and implement high-quality software applications and components.
Compensation: 100-120k base salary + excellent benefits, which includes 401k matching and a great medical and dental package.
