Duties - apply Hyperion application and integration design, development, installation, configuration, maintenance and problem solving expertise to evaluate client's Hyperion project planning and funds tracking systems.
Once familiar with these systems, the consultant will partner with client staff and infrastructure consultant to troubleshoot post implementation issues, provide knowledge transfer for integration scripts and application configuration and develop recommendations to facilitate system stability, maintenance and flexibility.
Subcontractor is expected to provide knowledge transfer through documentation, discussion and demonstration.
He/She will also collaborate with client staff to confirm the system is fully functional.
Project Background
Client recently upgraded from Hyperion Pillar to Hyperion System 9 for its project planning and funds tracking processes.
The system was designed by outside consultants whose engagement has ended.
Client is in need of further assistance in post-implementation for troubleshooting, maintaining, supporting and understanding how the system should be utilized and operated.
Requirements
Seeking a senior Hyperion application/integration developer with strong technical and problem solving skills to provide post implementation support for client's project planning and funds tracking systems.
This individual would work closely with staff to enhance the existing applications and provide maintenance strategies to ensure system stability and flexibility.
Specific experience and abilities include:
· Remedy application issues associated with the introduction of the “workforce” plan type during previous infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Verify all project planning web forms and calculations are accessible and functional.
· Make minor functionality changes as requested during the engagement in collaboration with client staff.
· Provide knowledge transfer (via discussion, demonstration and documentation) to client staff to build foundational knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to application configuration and functionality.
· Provide knowledge transfer (via discussion, demonstration and documentation) to client staff to reinforce knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to the calculation scripts essential to the implementation of new burden schedules.
· Determine the nature of the data and/or logic errors generated by the Hyperion Application Language integration and export programs used for the transference of data from Oracle to Hyperion and from Hyperion to client's data warehouse.
Resolve the issues identified in collaboration with client's staff and confirm the systems receiving the data are able to accept and process it as appropriate.
· Develop documentation for scheduling, running and troubleshooting integration programs including how to respond to common scenarios such as when the program is run more than once accidentally, needs to process multiple files or is run out of sequence, etc. Review with client's support staff.
· Provide integration script knowledge transfer (via discussion, demonstration and documentation) to NREL staff to build foundational knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
· Four or more years of relevant experience working with Hyperion applications and integration scripts using Essbase, Hyperion Application Language (HAL) and Data Integration Manager (DIM). Demonstrated experience with Hyperion tools including Web Analysis, Administration Services, SmartView and Financial Reporting Studio.
