The purpose of this job is providing System Engineering support in the Bioastronautics Contract Flight Hardware Department. This require planning and integration support to GFE/Payload equipment being launched and or flown in Space Shuttle, Space Station, or any other type of space vehicle. This job will require minimal travel and meeting attendance in order to gain information to facilitate the analytical integration of facility and sub-rack class payloads into the space vehicle. Other assignments as required.
Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and environmental plan; must be committed to high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Company's safety policies and rules and must be willing to repot safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel
Responsible for compliance with quality Assurance Plan, policies and procedures
Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance level as determined by the Company
Support the establishment of flight hardware & software verification and validation requirements. In addition, conduct test preparation and testing of flight hardware, flight software, and integrated hardware/software
Develop and adhere to standard documentation requirements and formats and process/standards for the SEI team
Project duties include:
Support System Engineering function and processes.
Develop standard formats, reviews and tracking systems for standard system engineering product deliverables
Establish hardware, software, and system requirements for development of hardware/software design-to-specifications, safety documentation, assembly, and other system-level documentation.
Prepare and support audits to determine design compliance to established hardware, software, operational, manufacturing, and test requirements.
Conduct Trade Studies and optimization studies to allocate requirements to function or to the physical architecture.
