Summary Provides IT Financial Systems
support by performing the following duties.
• The primary focus of this position is to support and perform maintenance duties for several financial applications (e.g., PeopleSoft Financials, XRT Treasury Workstation, Concur Expense, Kronos, and other bank or financial related software packages). • May be asked to perform business analysis tasks, define requirements, and execute various assignments as part of the application support role or a project initiative. • Required to learn and utilize delivered application tools as needed, such as reporting tools to develop reports for supported applications and various user groups. • Performs initial system testing and works with user group to develop full test plans and coordinate user acceptance testing for application fixes and project initiatives. • Clearly understands and documents business processes relevant to supported applications. • Responsible for understanding and developing system documentation covering such items as customizations, interfaces, reports, and end user training materials. • Responsible for following established change control process and preparing related documentation, including such items as Change Requests, Requirements Definition Documents and Test Plans. • Collaborates with team members and user community on resolution of more complex issues. • Works as a team member within a project initiative, and able to execute assigned tasks as required for the successful progression and completion of the project. • Works with outside contractors to support projects as needed. • Researches software to stay knowledgeable on new enhancements. • Provides status updates to management and customers. • Openly shares knowledge and effectively responds to requests for information on specific issues/problems within the organization. • Effectively utilizes support tracking and knowledge base systems. • Makes recommendations to improve Company processes and methodologies. • Effectively understands and communicates Company policy and practices when dealing with co-workers and clients.
Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Finance, Accounting, IT or related field from four-year college or university; and two to five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Working knowledge of SQL and database architecture. • Knowledge/experience with systems architecture, data modeling and IT Best Practices. • Working knowledge of Accounting practices. • Understanding and experience with enterprise-wide financial systems. • Financial Applications support background. • Demonstrated ability to learn new applications and accompanying business processes. • Effectively works both as a team participant and as an individual contributor. • Proven ability to take responsibility for one's role and to approach work with a sense of ownership. • Approaches job with enthusiasm from all aspects and able to work in a fluid and fast-paced environment. • Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Computer Skills • Prior experience supporting financial related applications, such as accounting, accounts payable, treasury/cash management, travel and expense applications. • PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP or similar accounting software skills preferred. • Basic database skills such as MS SQL Server or Oracle. • Crystal or comparable report writing skills preferred. • Basic Outlook and MS Word skills. • Intermediate Excel skills.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Certification in the applications listed in Computer Skills preferred; Certification in PeopleSoft training preferred.
