Embedded Software Engineers
MountainTop Technologies (MTT) is developing break-through technologies that will revolutionize unmanned systems for military and commercial applications. We are looking for individuals who can develop original algorithms and software to produce practical solutions to unsolved problems in the development of unmanned vehicles. Currently, development is underway of a state-of-the-art system composed of a control station and unmanned ground vehicle(s) utilizing various sensors (GPS, LIDAR, IMU, Radar, etc.) and wireless communications.
Essential Functions:
Develop JAUS (Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems) compliant software for unmanned vehicle(s) in C/C++
Develop creative approaches and algorithms in order to minimize the need for sensor input
Participate in the overall system/software design and implementation
Hardware/Software Integration
Work with a team of 3-5 other engineers
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Robotics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Experience designing and implementing software systems
Experience with object oriented programming in C/C++
U.S. Citizenship is required due to contract requirements.
Preferred:
Experience with multi-threaded development
Experience with Linux and GNU tool chain
Familiarity with:
o JAUS Architecture and Specifications
o Data Communications Management
o Human Computer Interface Design
o Information / Sensor Fusion
o Mission Planning
o Navigation Systems
o Vehicle Prognostics and Health Management Systems.
o Control Theory
Comfortable working across disciplines (Software, Electrical, and/or Mechanical).
