IO Datasphere is a progressive software development and consulting firm. We provide services to both private industry and government agencies offering full-scale project services as well as staff augmentation.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are staffing multiple .Net and Java projects with senior architects, database architects, and Java programmers. Successful individuals will be able to create secure enterprise web applications. The job entails everything from discovery conversations with clients, to design, coding, testing, and tuning web and database servers. Development of data extraction and migration utilities and routines will be required. Leverage design patterns for building applications and leverage architecture/framework capabilities and functionality. Architects will be responsible for hands-on delivery, technical leadership, knowledge transfer/training to end users and technical personnel, and developing preliminary project documentation and low level system documentation as necessary.
PREFERRED:
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field of study.
• Experience with SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services and Oracle Databases
• Working knowledge of object-oriented design methodologies and standard software design --OAD, USDP, RUP, Use Case Analysis, Agile Software Development
• Experience in government agency initiatives and support systems
• Experience with ITIL, CMDB, CMMI, HIPAA, GLBA a plus
• Excellent written documentation and verbal communication skills with both technical and business audiences
REQUIRED:
Two years job work experience using Java and/or .Net environment
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Proficient with MS Office Tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
In addition, some combination of the following technical skills is required:
Visual Studio 2005, VB.NET, C#.NET, .NET 2.0/3.0, IIS 5/6, XML, XSLT, PL/SQL, T-SQL, WSAD, Weblogic, Net Beans, Jbuilder, Visual Café, Forms Developer, ANT, Informatica, J2EE, EJB, Servlets, Javabeans, RMI, JNI, JDBC, JAAS, JMX JNDI/LDAP, XSL, JAXB, Oracle, SQL Server 2000/2005, web application development, client server development, InfoPath, AJAX, web services, SharePoint, BizTalk, UML and understanding of object-oriented development and use of design patterns.
LOCATION:
Onsite positions available in Wisconsin (Madison and Milwaukee), Michigan (Lansing and Detroit), and Illinois (Chicago and Springfield). Travel is not required. If you are able to travel, additional positions would be available throughout the Midwest states and the U.S.
