Job Description:
-As an account management/ business development manager, this person will be responsible for creating and maintaining a vibrant network of productive business relationships with consulting / engineering firms, large scale system integrators, federal prime contractors, and end user customers within specific vertical markets.
-The primary focus of this BDM will be within government and security marketplaces, yet other vertical markets may be added as needed.
-This person must be able to identify, analyze, develop and manage key relationships in a way that proactively helps the sales team successfully find and close a significant level of new Control Room projects.
-The BDM will work with Visual Environments and Control Room management and with the CR sales staff in a team-centric approach. At times, the BDM may also work on global opportunities with certain partners, end user customers, and other associates.
-BDM personnel report to Senior Director of Control Room Sales.
-The ideal candidate for this position should reside in or near metro Washington DC.

Job Functions
Support the Control Room sales team in order to achieve 100% of the revenue target as assigned by management each fiscal year.
Maintain positive high-level relationships within all relevant accounts including Control Room partners, consulting / engineering firms, large scale system integrators, federal prime contractors, third-party suppliers, and key end user customers.
Strategically manage these business relationships and opportunities to help ensure sound profitable solutions are defined, booked and delivered with the required products and resources.
In tandem with the Control Room sales team, help to accurately forecast and deliver on Control Room revenue commitments monthly / quarterly.
Actively participate in marketing activities / events in the designated vertical markets in order to discover new opportunities and raise brand image, and market share whenever possible.
Exercise excellent negotiation skills to help find, secure and close profitable Control Room business throughout each fiscal.
Maintain a positive attitude and act with professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Participate in sales meetings and conference calls with positive input and useful market feedback.
Communicate relevant partner, customer, market and competitive observations to management regularly.
Support and follow all Visual Environments / Control Room programs, policies, guidelines, and directions from management.
Complete all internal reports and respond to all communications from management on a timely basis.
Exercise sound judgment in T&E expense management.

Job Requirements:
The candidate should live within a 75-mile radius of metro Washington DC. (Relocation is not offered).
BS degree in business, technology or engineering (or equivalent work experience) is required.
Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in technology sales and/or business development is required.
Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in federal government sales and/or business development is required.
Minimum of 5 years of recent experience within audio visual, digital projection, and/or control room marketplaces is desired.
High-level understanding of the components and use of AV systems and command and control systems is also desired.
Having an active Secret Level Security Clearance is not required, but is preferred.
A proven history of sales success and business development leadership will also help set apart the ideal candidate.
An eager and positive attitude, self-motivated style, and demonstrable leadership skills are required.
Excellent listening, presentation, communication, and writing / reporting skills are expected.
Must be a solid team player able and willing to support divisional and company objectives, goals and policies.
Able and willing to work with out-of-office business travel which will typically reach 60% to 75% monthly.
Basic administrative and computer skills are required.
Home-office work experience is required.
