POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client is currently seeking an individual to fill the role of Systems Administrator. This exciting opportunity is with a technology firm that provides application software and associated services to the financial industry, with a focus on Mobile Payments. Their culture is based on the eXtreme Programming/AGILE philosophy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working as a systems administrator for this multi-platform software development firm, you will assume maintenance, design, and implementation duties for the following;
- Linux servers
- SQL database administrative experience
- Linux and Windows developer workstations
- Developer support systems
- Windows and MAC desktops and laptops
- Ethernet and wireless internal networks
- Internet networks and related services
- Internal and customer-facing web-based services
- Storage Area Network
- Monitoring and reporting tools
- Generation of all relevant reports and documentation
- Some coding
- Generating quotes, purchase orders, and all follow-up activities related to any required purchases in the maintenance, design, and implementation of the above-mentioned duties
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 yrs experience as a Linux systems administrator
- 3-5 yrs network administration (DMCP, Cisco, IOS, Pixie, catalyst, Linux IP/IP route2)
- 3-5 yrs experience with SQL databases
- Scripting experience (BASH, Python, Perl, Shell)
- Bachelor of Computer Science degree
