We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our exciting New-Products Team. A high-visibility position, the Project Manager will have the ability to contribute as a strong integrator, leading multidisciplinary projects. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, with the ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Leading a multidisciplinary team of hardware, electrical, software, and system engineers, the Project Manager will:
• Work together with product marketing to consolidate, understand, and clarify project requirements.
• Create, manage, and track accurate project schedules and budgets for multiple new-product developments.
• Coordinate engineering resources to complete projects on time and on budget.
• Ensure that products meet or exceed functionality and quality requirements.
• Represent the engineering department at cross-functional project meetings to communicate project status, schedule, and budget.
• Communicate regularly with engineering managers and directors on project status, activities, issues, and risks.
• Facilitate a stronger project-management discipline in the organization.


Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or science discipline.
• PMP certification and 3 years expereince using Microsoft Project
• 5+ years of project-management experience, with experience in analytical, life science, or similar industry a plus

• Experience with MS Project Enterprise Server, with other project-management tools in addition to the requirements are a plus.
• Experience leading successful engineering projects to match or exceed project requirements.
• Experience with product development, including the balancing among scope, time, cost, quality, and risk.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project-management processes and tools.
• Ability to coordinate activities and use of project resources to achieve project objectives within time and cost constraints.
• Ability to skillfully address project issues and risks by means of early identification and decisive resolution and/or mitigation.
• Ability to understand, track, drill-down, and question activities, issues, and risks in various engineering disciplines and make sound business decisions based on that data.
• Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively within and outside of the engineering department.
• Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and influence management skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various engineering disciplines, including hardware, electrical, software, and systems engineering.
• General knowledge of product marketing.
• General knowledge of manufacturing/operations.
• Demonstrated strong follow-through with thorough attention to detail.
• Demonstrated exceptional organizational abilities.
