This individual will be responsible for fulfilling the company's requirements for information and systems by designing, developing, maintaining and providing user support to deliver effective application software systems. Developer will work independently with some supervision from the Manager, Applications Development. The Developer will participate in developing designs of systems by preparing the flow diagrams, input formats, file layouts, calculations and output formats for consensus agreement with users and will also be responsible for modifying, and performing testing and documentation on previously developed systems and/or other purchased software.
Responsibilities / Qualifications:
· Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs.
· Use software design practices including object-oriented design, portability, extensibility and testability to develop efficient and extensible solutions.
· Apply communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and implement systems.
· Turn ideas and concepts into carefully designed and well-authored code.
· Work with end users and management to understand the business requirements.
· 2+ years of experience with developing code using VB.net.
· Understanding of system architecture, design, and scalability.
· 2+ years of experience in an applications development environment with emphasis using Microsoft toolsets.
· Ability to write procedural and object-oriented code.
· It would be helpful for this person to have financial or order entry/work management experience.
