DUTIES: Responsible for designing, developing and deploying embedded software for Application and Platform systems on our line of MediaPortal Set Top Boxes, which delivers television, video-on-demand, music and photos to a TV. Also responsible for defining and implementing software in an embedded environment to manage, transfer, and display various media to/from the MediaPortal.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in Software Developer, Software Engineer, Programmer, or a related occupation. Experience and/or coursework must include: C/C++/Java development; Development of multi-threaded systems; Linux and UNIX Operating Systems; HTTP, HTML, XML, XSL, SOAP; and Networking Protocols such as TCP, UDP, IP, DHCP. Any suitable combination of education, experience and training is acceptable.
