Overview TP Systems Ltd. is a technology consulting firm, providing business solutions to both the private and public sector for over 30 years.
We are looking for an advanced SQL Server specialist to design and implement reporting tools and ETL processes to support our flagship product, SectorLynx.
Responsibilities • Lead the design and development of specific database components, while collaborating with the software architect.
• Work with the project manager and project team to develop the project plan and ensure the project is completed within schedule, budget, and quality constraints.
• Work with business analysts to validate requirements and ensure accurate implementation.
• Manage other developers.
• Design, implement, and administer SQL Server databases.
• Design and implement reports using SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services.
• Design and implement ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services.
• Develop stored procedures.
• Develop SQL Server CLR classes.
Required Skills and Experience • 5+ years of experience within the software industry.
• 3+ years experience developing database components within SQL Server 2005, including stored procedures, functions, and views.
• 3+ years experience administering SQL Server databases, including maintenance plans, performance optimization, and security.
• 3+ years experience design database models, including Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and data dictionaries
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and SQL Server Integration Services.
• 1+ years experience programming in VB.NET or C#.
• Experience with XQuery, XPath, XSL, XML, and XML Schema (XSD).
• Excellent communication skills (writing, reading, and speaking).
• Ability to manage a small team of developers.
• Understanding of enterprise software architecture.
Desirable Skills and Experience • Thorough understanding of data warehouse and analytical (OLAP) database design.
• Experience with the health and social services subject area.
• Experience with HIPAA and HL7.
Education and Certification Any one of the following:
• MCTIP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Database Administrator) or equivalent.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
