Job Details: Senior Software Engineer - User Interface

Vignette Corporation is looking for a superstar User Interface Software Engineer who is passionate about building the best software on the planet and wants to take our world-class web content management product to even greater heights. This is true, enterprise-scale product development on new products and significant enhancements to existing products. Some of the largest organizations in the world such as Marriott, NASA, Nissan, and Nokia harness our software to support large sites with huge amounts of traffic and diverse types of content, for virtually any kind of end-user device.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and researchers to refine the user experience.
  
• Partner with backend engineers to ensure that interactive techniques and technologies translate through to shipping products and services.
• Utilize libraries and frameworks such as ExtJS and Dojo to develop dynamic web applications.
• Advocate for good design and have a passion and demonstrated experience in the UI development of products with multiple concurrent end users and large datasets.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• Strong object-oriented software development background, with particular expertise in Java programming and User Interface design and implementation.
• 5+ Years developing optimized/cross platform front-end code using Java and a combination of the following web application/front-end tools: JavaScript/AJAX, CSS, HTML/XHTML, DOM, and JSP.
• Experience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of several successfully launched software applications.
  
• A proven track record of launching interactive internet sites/applications.
• A BS degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science.
• Experience in following areas is a strong plus:
  
  
  • ExtJS, Dojo, JQuery, Prototype, Scriptaculous, or YUI
  • Perl or PHP/SQL
  • Spring, Hibernate
  • XML/XSL, SQL
  • Perforce, Ant, Cruise Control, Selenium, WebLogic, Unix
