Our client, a global network marketing company, is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA. The position is based in Torrance, California.
This is an opportunity to work in one of the challenging Oracle Apps installations with latest technologies - Real Application Clusters, Linux, Parallel Concurrent Processing, Many third-party tool integrations, Integration with Legacy Systems
REQUIRED SKILLS
1. Strong knowledge and experience on Oracle technology architecture - Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Real Application Clusters. (Minimum of 8+ years experience as a Production Oracle Applications DBA with ERP systems)
2. Very good communication and analytical skills, be a team lead, be able to mentor team
3. Be able to co-ordinate with multiple development teams and multiple software vendors on issues resolution, planning
4. Must be able to do root cause analysis of problems and provide solutions.
5. Expertise on installation, configuration and support, upgrade of Oracle 11i (11.5.9, 11.5.10)
6. Expertise on Oracle 9i RAC, 10g RAC - installation, upgrade
7. Pro-active management of Production database systems, risks mitigation
8. Expertise in performance monitoring, Instance tuning, SQL tuning
9. Experience in hot/cold backup mechanisms, EMC BCV concepts
10. Experience with mid tier architectures 10giAS, Oracle Express
11. Knowledge on OEM, TOAD, Oracle grid-control
12. Good understanding and experience with parallel concurrent managers
13. DBA level experience with UNIX administration. Work experience on Linux is big-plus
14. Oracle Apps patch management, patch migration processes
15. Instance Cloning (RAC, Non-RAC), Code migration processes
16. Knowledge on Oracle Support processes for technical requests with Metalink
17. Experience in using third-party software/tools desired - Sabrix, Opcon SMA, Appworx, Spotlight, HP Openview
18. Willingness to provide future direction and guidance on application deployment/support plans is a plus.
19. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Due to the 24X7 company operation, this position could be required to be on-call; weekends and nights on a rotating basis with other team members to support production systems environments.
