Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Intermediate Analyst will be responsible for developing and executing detailed test plans and test cases. The individual will interact with business teams, system administrators and software engineers to implement projects, correct defects and coordinate scheduled software releases. This will include managing a variety of testing processes for multiple projects. The QA Intermediate Analyst must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills.



Key Responsibilities:

Conduct project analysis and spec reviews with the team
Develop, implement and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirements as well as use cases.
Work closely with development to identify areas and methods to improve testing efficiency, expand coverage and increase product reliability.
Communicate project status, coordinate team efforts, approve and schedule projects for production release
Apply testing techniques including system, acceptance, and regression testing
Coordinate defects with development and report into defect tracking system
Provide quality assurance and testing support for multiple concurrent projects.




Latitude or Decision-Making:

As an QA analyst within a matrixed IT organization, this position has primary responsibility and latitude to execute individual tasks leveraging established best practices and trade craft as defined within established development and governance processes and project plan. This position will contribute to broader strategy and planning activities as subject matter expert commensurate with their seniority and domain expertise.



Minimum Job Requirements:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 3 years QA experience
Minimum 2 years experience in an Internet environment.
Experience with testing tools (ie HP Mercury TestDirector and WinRunner).
Experience with SQL.
Solid understanding of QA Methodologies as well as an extreme attention to detail and commitment to high quality production standards.
Understanding of the internet technologies, testing requirements and web-based content publishing, production, and UI issues.
Ability to apply a logial approach to testing software to detect the most serious software problems first.
Ability to deal with high-volume, rapid software development cycles, with many concurrent deadlines.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills. Self-motivated, driven, resourceful and able to get things done.
Ability to adapt, learn and keep up with changing business logic is a fundamental necessity.
Must be able to build relations with internal team members and excel in a fast-paced environment.




Preferred Job Qualifications:

Good understanding of JAVA and JAVAscripting. Previous programming experience a plus.
e-Commerce experience is a plus.
