Position Summary:
This individual will spend the majority of their time working producing internet based application on a J2EE platform. The successful candidate will have the proven ability to understand and implement business requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems. Additionally, the candidate must exhibit the ability to analyze and debug new and existing software systems. Key Responsibilities: • Implement scalable software systems that meet the business requirements within the design set for by the Technical Lead. • Participate in code reviews. • Maintain existing software systems • Participate in the design and development of new and existing software solutions
Latitude or Decision-Making:
As a developer within a matrixed IT organization, this position has primary responsibility and latitude to execute individual tasks leveraging established best practices and trade craft as defined within established development and governance processes and project plan. This position will contribute to broader strategy and planning activities as subject matter expert commensurate with their seniority and domain expertise.
Minimum Job Requirements:
• 3+ years work experience with Java and J2EE technologies including • Bachelors degree in computer science /Information Systems is required • Familiarity with n-Tier and/or Service Oriented Architectures • Exposure to developing Web Services in a Java environment • Exposure to ATG technologies especially Commerce is desirable • Demonstrable experience with XML, UML and Design Patterns • Demonstrable experience with Java Application Servers such as JBoss • Ability to debug and resolve difficult technical problems
