SHORT SCOOP: 5+ yrs Level 2 support including exp with Windows, IBM Blade, Tivoli, WebSphere, Cognos, VMware, iSeries, SAN & SQL server.
SUMMARY:
The Sr. Systems Administrator provides a wide range of Level 2 help desk support for end-users.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides Level 2 Help Desk support
* Installs, configures, and maintains MS Windows Server hardware & software
* IBM Blade center installation, configuration, and optimization
* Active Directory configuration and management
* SAN configuration and management
* Provides problem diagnosis, repair services & complete day-to-day support tasks including the monitoring of key services/servers such as Windows, Tivoli, WebSphere, Cognos, other application servers
* Monitors system performance & availability, including CPU, memory, I/O & network components
* Participates in capacity planning & disaster recovery planning
* Participates in off-hour on-call support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Associate's degree in CS/IT --OR-- equivalent combination of exp and education
* 5+ yrs exp installing, maintaining & administering MS Windows platforms
* Exp installing/managing SAN devices
* Exp with Tivoli Storage Manager backup/recovery processing
* Exp with VMware installation, upgrades, maintenance
* Exp with SQL Server Database Administration
* Understanding of iSeries & WebSphere Application Server administration
* Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
