InfoTech Resources is seeking candidates for an immediate opening for a Sr. Business Analyst. This is a direct hire position in Nashville TN. This position is responsible for formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. With this knowledge, the analyst develops or modifies moderately complex information systems including analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary.
Major duties and responsibilities include:
-Establishes the preliminary and detailed design of the assigned projects within the
organization and insures that they are consistent with the needs of the user and
the corporation.
-Investigates business processes, identifying opportunities to improve and/or
streamline existing processes with the application of technology or automation.
Interprets general and strategic business requirements in the organization.
-Acts as liaison with IS and user community. Interprets business rules and assists
in the validation of existing systems and the degree to which they meet stated
objectives of the project(s).
-Works with the users incorporating new practices and techniques for adopting
delivered systems and the effective use of systems in everyday practices.
Provides training and assistance in the rollout of new systems.
-Guides and advises less experienced Business Systems Analysts. Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
Successful candidate will have:
-Bachelors Degree in Information Services (Degree requirements may be waived with significant related and demonstrable work experiences.)
-A minimum of five to seven years of increasing responsibilities in the management of medium to large projects in an IS organization.
-Possess strong Project Management experience.
-A high degree of familiarity and understanding of the current trends and directions of information systems and related technologies.
-Able to work with the standard commodity office tools (e.g. MS Office suite, MS Project, Team Foundation Server, MSF and others).
-Understands current hardware and software management techniques, along with “best practices” approach for implementations and measurement of operational effectiveness. Understands quality management techniques and able to adapt them to deliver highest quality and level of service to the organization.
-Must be able to articulate views and opinions to build consensus within a common framework of efficiency and standards.
-Must have a thorough working knowledge of our industry, project management techniques, priority management, and structured methodologies for project control.
-Strong verbal and written skills.
-PMI and MSF certifications desirable but may be waived with appropriate experience.
