We are looking for a creative, innovative Front End Web Developer with broad experience, and a passion for creating world-class products. This person will be an implementer who is an expert in XHTML/CSS - someone who can take a visual layout of a web application, do the cut up, and implement a solution in XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Compensation is highly competitive and is based on qualifications and depth of experience. This position is full-time, offers PPO health benefits, paid vacations and holidays, and is based at our Northern Rhode Island headquarters.
As the successful candidate, you will have passion for and pride in your work. You will be problem-solving, proactive, and smart-thinking. If there is an issue with the spec, you will tell us before you code to it. You're the kind of person who likes conceiving of a better way to do something, but who can compromise when existing technology interferes. Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills are essential, including solid SDLC experience. You can set expectations and talk to the team about what you're working on. You can explain why you did something a certain way and are able to give and receive feedback in a friendly and professional manner. You are able to collaborate actively with designers, back-end software developers, and marketing staff in a cross-functional team and possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to take a leadership role and proactively manage multiple projects simultaneously. An efficient and flexible style with the ability to manage your time to meet aggressive deadlines is needed. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; a B.S. is a plus.
Qualified individuals will possess 5 or more years of front end web development experience, preferably for consumer-focused community, entertainment, or e-commerce products.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Company's President and Vice President, and will work alongside the company's Software Development Team, as well as external UI and marketing contractors.
