Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Analyst I will work with Application Development staff in maintaining a quality assurance process for testing client applications. The QA Analyst I will work under the direction of the AVP Application Development and Quality Assurance Team Lead in analyzing system requirements, preparing and executing test plans, and documenting deficiencies. The client is seeking a candidate with an excellent background in computer systems and a proven ability to learn quickly and successfully complete new assignments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create test cases, test plans, and Use Cases for various levels of software testing.
• Hands-on manual testing to validate software meets requirements.
• Respond to and investigate production issues.
• Coordinate with end users to schedule and support User Acceptance Testing.
• Enforce quality standards and procedures through entire software development lifecycle.
• Manage task milestones to ensure on time delivery.
• Create and maintain application business logic documentation and Use Cases.
• Keep an electronic record of application deficiencies found in testing.
Job Requirements:
• College Degree.
• 1 - 3 years QA testing experience.
• Experience in testing Web applications.
• Experience in testing Windows client applications.
• Experience in testing Unix server applications a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and evaluate application issues.
• SQL language skills, including writing query syntax and using SQL tools.
• Ability to write clear, concise testing plans.
• Ability to clearly communicate with users, developers and management.
• Experience in creating visio flowcharts preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Office suite (word, excel, and power point).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a team player, and work well with others.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
