Located in Reno, Nevada at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and just minutes away from Lake Tahoe, they have an exciting opportunity for a Senior SQL Developer to join their technical team and will provide relocation assistance. This is a position that requires a variety of experience in SQL Server Administration, and SQL Server Development and Design.
Requirements/Skills:
** Strong SQL Server 2000/2005 and Transact SQL (T-SQL) experience
o Stored procedures and functions
o Ad-hoc queries
o Set-based coding
** Strong query tuning and performance monitoring
o Explain plans
o SQL Profiler
o Statistics
** Capable understanding of relational database architecture
** Direct experience with Schema Design Tools, such as CA-ERWin, ER Studio, etc.
** Create, modify, and optimize stored procedures, views, functions
** Document the database environment, processes, strategies and architectures
** Liaison with internal Applications Development teams to facilitate development, deployments and to ensure standards are followed
** Participate along with other team members in the 24x7 on call rotation
** MCDBA certification helpful, but not required
** Casino systems experience helpful
