Interested in building a killer app? With an established user base of over 6,000 companies, we are seeking a strong Sr. Java Developer with a minimum of five years of overall Java development experience, specifically with three years of web application development. You will be purely focused on NEW APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT, and will be part of a Team that will build and release a new product never before offered by our organization.
In this role you will be a key contributor on our product development team following popular agile development methodologies. Your contributions to the team will span the entire product development lifecycle, from the initial design to the production launch. This is an opportunity to contribute to and guide the path of our key product suite, as well as serve as a thought leader in the development of a new application release that will impact our industry as a whole. Our organization is growing rapidly, and we are seeking key players that will serve as an integral cog in the overall direction of development.
The following are several of the technologies used to develop the BuildTopia applications, experience with all of these is not required but a strong base skill set and a strong desire to learn is.
•Java Swing
•Java (J2SE), JSP, Servlets
•JFC/Swing
•PLSQL/SQL, Oracle 9i/10g, TOAD
•HTML, JavaScript, CSS
•Redhat Linux, Apache Tomcat, CVS, Ant
•Eclipse IDE and SPRING framework

Key Responsibilities
•Serves as an Architect and Senior Developer for the BuildTopia applications.
•Participate in the Agile IID development process for product releases.
•Develop release conversion scripts related to standard and custom reports
•Develop and deploy product hot fixes as needed based on customer issues/cases.
•Provide on going support of all BuildTopia products
•Create and maintain product development process documents
•Provide general application support to all other teams with in the organization as needed.
•Provide support to the technical operations teams as it relates to the co-location facility and production environment.
•Develop and execute SQL scripts to address customer data requests
•Execute the daily activities that contribute to a team effort in developing and maintaining a large web application, using technologies such as Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, PL/SQL, and XML.
•Contributes to the growth of the organization by providing support to junior members of the development team.
Job Requirements
•Minimum of 3 years experience using Java in web application development, preferably using a common MVC framework.
•Extensive hands on experience using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
•Experience designing, maintaining, and using relational databases, preferably Oracle 9i/10g.
•Java (J2SE, Servlets, JDBC, MVC Frameworks)
•DHTML (XHTML, JavaScript, CSS)
•PLSQL/SQL, Oracle 9i/10g
•Red Hat Linux or comparable distribution
•Apache Web Server, Tomcat
