SUMMARY:
The Sr. Training Specialist & Instructional Designer should be a creative training professional skilled in instructional design, needs analysis, authoring eLearning, program delivery and performance consulting to lead the design and implementation of a new blended learning curriculum for our customer service new hires. The curriculum includes job skills analysis, benefits administration training, hard and soft skills training, supervisor training, coaching programs, and career development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Delivers classroom and one-on-one training, coaching, and development to new hires, existing team members, supervisors
* Designs, develops, and delivers new training solutions, job skills, and soft skills curricula
* Partners with customer service managers, team leads, and others to create new and update existing training materials/job aids as initiated by changes in plans, policies, and procedures
* Designs and develops blended learning solutions
* Conducts needs analysis to identify performance gaps
* Recommends and develops performance solutions to address gaps and meet business needs
* Develops and delivers product and systems training
* Collaborates with vendors, end users and subject matter experts to develop, review, and implement accurate training content
* Works closely with PMs and cross-functional teams to identify training needs
* Functions as training liaison between IT, vendor, subject matter experts, and end users on training approach to systems implementations
* Conducts task and skill set assessments in customer service and other departments
* Consults with and provides feedback to customer service management on progress and proficiency
* Partners with customer service team to analyze and define development opportunities, training needs, and programs
* Recommends and produces performance and organizational development initiatives
* Helps develop evaluation tools and measurements to determine effectiveness of curriculum content
* Supports design, development, and maintenance of eLearning modules (Captivate, Flash, Acrobat, and other Adobe design products and eLearning tools)
* Contacts attendees, schedules classroom, prepares room set up, conducts evaluations, monitors and maintains training records database and manages other administrative details.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in training, HR, adult education or related field
* 5+ yrs exp assessing team and organizational needs, developing curricula, and delivering soft and hard technical training
* Knowledge and exp in curriculum design, development, and instruction for adults
* Working knowledge of process and procedure analysis/development
* Practical exp with Adult Learning Theory and instructional design models
* Demonstrated critical thinking skills and excellent communication skills
* Detail-oriented, flexible, quick learner
* Strong presentation and classroom facilitation skills
* Ability to work within a constantly changing environment.
