Cognos Report Developer
Position Description:
A Cognos Report Developer is needed to assist our client with data validation. The person filling this role will use Cognos 8 Report Studio as their primary tool to validate data used within a data warehouse application currently in development. In addition this person will also design and develop new end-user reports as requested by the client. Candidates for this position must be able to analyze business needs, document requirements, and perform analysis and design on small to medium application projects. Candidate will be required to facilitate test planning, document use cases, and execute user testing. Candidate must have excellent communication skills as necessary to interact effectively with developers and end-users.
Required Experience:
• 5 years of overall IT experience.
• 2 years COGNOS 8 experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with COGNOS Report Studio.
Additional Experience:
• Experience in maintaining and updating COGNOS report requirements.
• Experience in developing test plans for unit, increment, and integration level testing.
• Abilities to debug and maintain pre-existing Cognos reports
• Experiences using Informatica will be considered a strong plus.
