DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DUTIES >>
The primary responsibility will be to resolve helpdesk tickets
on desktop and laptop computers. Will work with a team of IT professionals to troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop and server issues. Also be able to diagnose, troubleshoot and communicate network, server and telecom helpdesk tickets and assist other IT groups for their coordination and resolve. Participate with IT and other departments for internal and team projects. Great follow-up skills with internal end-user customers required including IT management. Will have strong troubleshooting skills as well as knowledge of IT technical and professional concepts to quickly resolve a wide range of customer issues.
SKILLS >>
Good communication skills both verbal and non-verbal are a must.
Has the ability to learn concepts from peers quickly, and share information with others, for a constantly increasing and evolving knowledgebase. Solves problems quickly with excellent customer service skills. Great interpersonal skills are required. The candidate will be a self-motivated performer with an attention to detail. A strong working knowledge of Windows XP, of Windows Active Directory/Server and of a networked environment is required. Experience with Symantec Backup Exec, Symantec NetBackup, GoodLink and WebEx software and Linux is a big plus. MCDST certification preferred. Requires a high level of understanding and ability to support Windows systems remotely.
EDUCATION >>
Bachelors degree, applicable certification or equivalent
experience required related experience desired 2-4 years in IT application support positions Technical knowledge with most operating desktop & laptop systems.
