Business Resource Solutions, LLC is a shared services organization representing SpecPro Technical Services LLC for all Human Resource and recruiting activities. SpecPro Technical Services LLC is currently seeking candidates for the following opening at their Ft. Sam Houston location: Business Systems Analyst III.
As a Data Information Retrieval Specialist, perform Information and data Retrieval Services by providing MEDEVAC systems data (de-identified) or data from other sources to include medical record and MEDEVAC databases to research investigators based upon valid requests in a timely fashion and within the specifications of the data request with no reportable security or safety violations during the contract period, and not more than 1 minor security and safety violation during a contract quarter, and no repeat violations:
• Assisting research investigators with the retrieval of stored data from computerized databases using standard information science methods. Requests will be in the form of written correspondence, telephonic requests, email, standard research protocols, and personal interviews. Production of deliverables will require interaction with investigators to identify precise requirements.
• Retrieving medical data from stored medical records.
• Retrieving MEDEVAC data from stored records using precise requirements will specify “data elements”, “ranges of values” of interest for those data elements, and time periods. As the database contains data that satisfies these requirements, the reports should contain that data. Reports for investigators will normally be furnished as Excel file extracts (.xls files) unless otherwise approved by the PM or the COR.
• Assists researchers in identifying data elements that support the research question or project.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and/or Nursing or comparable experience.
• Familiarity with emergency medicine and trauma systems gained from experience in nursing, hospital administration, or related fields.
• Experience with injury severity coding (American Association of Automobile Manufacturers system of Abbreviated Injury Scoring) and organ injury scaling and ICD-9-CM coding system.
• Experience in data manipulation and transformation to develop new consolidated data and referenced source documents or data repositories.
• Experience with medical information systems, management of medical data, and or medical records data entry and processing preferred.
• Prior experience as a Medical Evacuation Pilot. Interpret and retrieve information from operational reports including: evacuation flight logs, orders, military maps, operational graphics, weather reports, ground evacuation missions, 9-line MEDEVAC requests, landing zone preparation, landing zone security, suppression of enemy air defenses, after action reports. Familiar with aviation aircraft capabilities and launch procedures.
