Job Summary:

Determines data requirements; develops data strategies; analyzes data; implements data schema; designs interfaces; tests data quality; maintains database performance; improves database performance; updates job knowledge; accomplishes organization goals.

Key Initiatives:
**Lead Development of new Data Warehouse Project
**Lead and Train Data Warehouse Design Team in dimensional modeling and utilization of SQL Server 2005 BI Solution
**Develop monthly and Quarterly Reporting Solutions for each business process in the company

Duties:
**Deployment of SQL Server Technology Uses Integration Services for ETL design and management, Analysis Services for aggregate data management and Reporting Services to deploy reports to users.

**Determines data requirements by interviewing customers; analyzing business requirements and applications; evaluating existing systems, hardware, and software; defining and analyzing data sources; validating data required; documenting requirements.

**Develops data strategies by establishing integrated architecture and hierarchy; establishing metadata and modeling standards; developing and evaluating logical and physical models; defining ETL strategies, including designing and validating schema; preparing transformation rules, indexing, directories, synchronization, back-up, retention, recovery, and error handling rules; mapping data from source to target using SSIS.

**Implements data schema by developing program, process, procedure, and quality solutions for data acquisition, extraction, cleansing, transformation, integration, loading, and replication; developing filtering, formatting, and data delivery processes to data marts; building SQL code, stored procedures, and triggers; creating views of data structures; documenting system.

**Designs interfaces using reporting services to create visualization through matrix reports and charting. Provides drill up, drill down and drill through capabilities.

**Maintains Aggregate Data Model using analysis services to create data cubes for ad hoc queries and as the basis for reporting services reports.

**Maintains database performance by completing SQL performance tuning; query performance tuning; database indexing and system monitoring
