Responsibilities:
As a Database Administrator, the individual will work with in-house staff, external vendors and clients to create and maintain the databases and load processes that enable the web sites. The individual will be responsible for the definitions of client data file requirements and the successful completion of data loads of those files. The individual will be responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of the database environment. The individual will also serve as a key point of contact between the web development team and in-house staff, external vendors and clients regarding data file issues.
Requirements:
? Four-year degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or any other degree with equivalent experience;
? Two (2) years experience using Microsoft SQL Server in a database analyst or database administrator role on an application with significant database-driven features;
? Proficiency with advanced SQL queries
? Proficiency with data loading and extraction through batch processes
? Solid background in relational database concepts and current Internet technologies.
? Project experience through the full development life cycle -- analysis, design, and implementation to an end user community.
? Experience with performance tuning, optimization techniques, transaction monitoring, and maintenance of a mission-critical production environment.
? Excellent communication skills;
? Experience with database security topics, database encryption products or Windows Server administration a strong plus
? Knowledge of tax, investment or financial planning concepts a strong plus;
