Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for an MIS Technician position.
The position description is as follows:
The MIS Technician is responsible for the technical support and maintenance of all internal hardware, software and other related paraphernalia that is applicable to all in-house networked systems.
The MIS Technician:
* Interfaces with all departments with reference to both hardware and software issues.
* Responsible for the setup, configuration and support of all workstations with reference to images, installation of software applications, email, file locations, etc.
* Responsible for the documentation, maintenance, inventory, cleaning and repair of all parts and materials licensed and owned by the company, i.e., CPU?s, monitors, printers, etc. (all hardware is to be cleaned on a monthly basis).
* Responsible for the maintenance and inventory of all parts and materials with reference to contract vendors. Including receiving of new parts/materials, replacing of new parts/materials, and shipping of damaged parts/materials.
* Responsible for the disassembling, relocating and assembling of all systems.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
* Associates degree in Computer Science preferred but not mandatory.
* Must have three to four years experience as a Systems Technician working hands on in a Wide Area Networking environment with knowledge and understanding of multiple platforms.
* Experienced and knowledgeable with a wide variety of both hardware and software applications.
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret various documents.
* Ability to interpret and understand technical terminology.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
* Ability to lift and move equipment over 50 ? 100 lbs.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment (24 hours 7 days a week) with multiple end users.
* Must be available to work various shifts including weekends.
