Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Network Administrator position.
The position description is as follows:
The Network Administrator is under the direction of the M.I.S. Network Administrator Supervisor, the Network Administrator monitors and maintains, all data/voice networking performance functions related to all aspects of company operations.
Responsible for the installation of all upgrades, service packs, overall operational and maintenance needs of all Network Servers, Switches, Routers and related network equipment. Must be available to respond and help resolve all related issues (24 hours 7 days a week) with reference to the above operations. If unable to resolve via phone, or VPN, on-site presence is mandatory.
The Network Administrator:
* Supports Network Administrator Supervisor in overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all Network Servers, Switches, Routers, and other network equipment with reference to networking performance, i.e., tape backups, patch panels, Virtual Private Network, etc.
* Reports to M.I.S. Network Administrator Supervisor on a daily basis to discuss and review all current information technology, Network Servers, Switches, and Routers maintenance needs, scheduling of servers/switches upgrades and downtime, and overall daily performance.
* Documents, files and maintains master copies of all procedures with reference to application installations, upgrades, ghost images, etc.
* Ensures all Network Servers parts, i.e., motherboards, network cards, drive arrays, etc. are logged and registered with HP Care Depot for replacement parts within a (4) hour turnaround time frame.
* Assigns and maintains all Network Servers and Switches with reference to IP addresses, network documentation, and overall infrastructure design and layout documentation.
* Maintains the cleanliness of all Network Servers, Switches and all other network equipment within the M.I.S. room and Telecom closets (all switches and servers are to be cleaned on a monthly basis).
* In the absence of the Network Administrator Supervisor, directly supervises both the activities of all Network Servers, Swithes, and related network equipment.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
* Microsoft (MCSE) certification with over five to seven years experience preferred in a Wide Area Network with working knowledge and implementation of infrastructures.
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as technical journals, financial reports, etc.
* Ability to effectively present and implement high-level technical information at a Network/Infrastructure level.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
* Ability to lift and move equipment over 50 ? 100 lbs.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment (24 hours 7 days a week) with multiple end users.
* Must be available to work various shifts including weekends.
