Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Systems Engineer II position.
The position description is as follows:
Currently seeking a Systems Engineer II to provide a collaboration of material, quality assurance, technical and mechanical support to the manufacturing area to ensure that company-products are built in accordance with customer specified and standardized requirements while maintaining production flow.
Duties:
-Confers with coworkers to research and investigate problems relating to production and process flow.
-Identifies the root cause of a problem and institutes corrective action such as changes to Model Specs/BOM, generation of Engineering Change Orders, installation of fixtures, changes in workstations, changes to inspection analyses and changes to process procedures.
-Evaluates discrepant hardware in accordance with quality requirements, and determines its disposition or referral to the Material Review Board.
-Provides recommendations to improve procedures that apply to quality and other functions, such as configuration management and operations functions.
-Reviews design drawings and changes, BOMs, process procedures, test procedures, procurement documents, and inspection analyses to ensure that the company's and customers quality requirements are met on assigned products, programs and functions.
-Interacts with representatives from a variety of functional groups, including electrical engineering, regulatory compliance, purchasing, graphics, order entry, field services, sales, all production and inspection personnel, as well as within the Project Management Department
-Consults with assemblers and support personnel to learn procedures followed and source of error.
-Answers questions, applying knowledge of operational policy, and procedures.
-Communicates with vendors, under the supervision of the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, to request service regarding defective products.
-Receives and investigates reports of compliance violations and communicates results to the regulatory compliance officer; reports noncompliance issues detected through the auditing and monitoring process.
Requirements:
-Knack for investigating and analyzing information, then drawing conclusions.
-Familiar with 5 why's, Pareto charts, Ishakawa (fishbone) diagram, Cause mapping and evaluating trend histories.
-Skilled at writing reports containing technical information.
-Aptitude for communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
-Knowledge of quality control practices and procedures.
-Ability to make evaluative judgments.
-Comfortable with using inspection tools such as gage blocks, calipers, micrometers, etc.
-Records maintenance skills.
-Knowledge of data collection techniques.
-May participate directly in Material Review Board actions.
-May interact with company personnel as well as customer and supplier representatives on quality issues.
-May perform source inspections and/or surveys, involving visits to a supplier's facility to evaluate adherence to the company's quality requirements for products or systems.
-May assist the Repair Department in evaluating field returns to identify any failure trends and perform failure analysis.
-Associate's degree or at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
-Requires effective human relations skills to motivate others and convince them of the validity of solutions to problems
Safety: Assure that all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures are adhered to. Ability to operate simple hand tools and lift truck.
This job requires lifting of 5 to 50 pounds on a regular basis, working with knives, etc.
