We currently have a client with the following permanent position:
Applications Director, Oracle
Responsibilities:
Accountable for the overall timeliness and quality of development deliverables across all channels of IT delivery. Responsible for leading a team of development managers and their staffs in support of a set of business processes (Lead to Order and Back Office).
Oracle Applications 11i experience- AR, AP, GL and FA within the Financials e-business suite.
Development work must be built with security in mind as well as responsibilities, alerts, workflow approvals and system privileges.
Strong Oracle multi org / multi currency experience within multi phase, global implementations
Experience with Accounting concepts and practices preferred
Exposure Oracle AIM Methodology preferred.
Knowledge of executing SQL queries and understanding the underlying structure of the most common Oracle Applications tables will be given preference.
•Define best practice development processes and standards
•Attract and retain application development talent for the organization
•Own resource management for development (Supply Management)
•Own vendor management for software and services vendors
•Mentor and grow application managers
This position makes recommendations and decisions on major changes which involve the support and maintenance of system functionality.
In terms of day to day operations, decisions to make major software modifications are made by this position along with the business user's and supervisor's approval.

Give direction and manage day-to-day activity to ensure timely delivery with quality IT Leadership
Report out on progress and issue escalation when assistance is needed.

This position has a positive effect on organization in helping the users to take advantage of existing applications and developing new applications and processes needed to enable the business.
This position also has a positive effect on the organization by interacting strategically with other leaders within IT and the business to develop business and IT strategies that will enable the business.
This position will lead a development team including up to 4 Application Managers and their staffs.
BS in Computer Science required
Expert knowledge of Oracle and/or Java is mandatory
Working knowledge of application development using Java/J2EE and PL/SQL, Oracle relational databases, and Microsoft operating systems
10 -- 15 years of relevant work experience in Custom and/or Packaged Application Development is required.
IT leadership experience is a must.
