POSITION TITLE: Business Systems Analyst
POSITION TYPE: Full-time
LOCATION: Toronto, ON
COMPENSATION: $50-70K
Intellistaff (www.intellistaff.ca) is seeking a strong Business Systems Analyst for their client, an exciting software development company in downtown Toronto.
As part of the development team, the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will utilize company frameworks and adhere to corporate architectural principles to deliver wealth management projects to current and/or future customers.
The BSA will work individually, as a member of the development team, or leading a development team to deliver these projects.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Business Analyst's and the Product Team to validate technical impact to solutions and the overall solution.
• Provide development estimations for projects and participate and/or present reviews of the technical aspects of a project.
• Working as a Development Lead, you will work closely with Development Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Product Managers and Quality Assurance personnel to ensure proper delivery of projects.
Requirements:
• A strong understanding of the full development lifecycle and familiar with various development methodologies.
• The ability to take business requirements and implement those to completion and validate against the original requirements.
• Adhere to code development best practices and guidelines, as defined by the company and the development team.
• College/University education
• 6+ years of Application development experience
Experience with following technologies:
• Java, JSF, EJB 3, Seam, Hibernate, XML, Ajax
• MS SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, Sybase
• JBoss, Tomcat, Websphere, BEA WebLogic
• Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, CVS, subversion, UML
• Shell scripting experience an asset
• Experience in the Financial Services industry (Banking, Insurance, Securities) would be an asset.
• Self-motivation is a must, should work with minimal direction.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to support projects.
