YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS
As an Ideaca Senior BI/Data ETL Analyst/Developer, you will be responsible for participating at all phases of the project life cycle including: analyzing, designing, modeling, testing and deploying suitable and appropriate solutions.
AS OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE, YOU WILL HAVE
• Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proven ability to manager and lead a project/team from inception to implementation
• Seasoned work planning and estimating skills
• Established confidence in your ability to manage tasks, issues, their priorities and interdependencies
• Successfully completed a post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of in-depth knowledge in the administration of Oracle and SQL Server databases including installation, configuration and support.
• Experience in the development of SQL and PL/SQL code objects including stored procedures, functions, triggers and views.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Suite of Tools, include DB, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
• Data analysis concentrating on the understanding of business requirements with respect to data and information
• Data design focusing on translating business information into data structures with core skills to include information needs analysis, specification of business metrics and data modeling.
• Data integration to deliver business intelligence solutions. Integration includes all of the activities necessary to acquire data from sources and to transform and cleanse the data. Data integration includes concepts and skills for source data analysis and source qualification, data profiling, source/target mapping, data cleansing and transformation, and ETL Development.
• Planning, designing and implementing database related architecture and services
• Performance tuning and problem diagnosis and resolution; working with Application Developers
• Defining data standards and data models for warehouse architectures
• Experience with developing and implementing extract, load and transform (ETL) routines using high-end tools such as SSIS 2005 or Informatica to populate data warehouse from custom solutions or ERP packages (SAP, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Lawson, MS Dynamics NAV/AX)
• Demonstrated capabilities in evaluating new techniques and utilizing the appropriate elements
• The ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
