Job Description:

Works independently as a liaison between IT and the business partner, identifies and communicates business needs and translates these needs into understandable requirements, determines if internal or external solutions exist or whether new solutions are needed, determines if these solutions impact existing work processes and systems as well as ensures proper integration, provides input surrounding buy vs. build decisions for possible solutions


Job Responsibilties:

Performs work for multiple business segments, supports moderately complex business processes.
Serves as a team member or leader for projects of medium scope and primarily moderate complexity
Serves as a liaison between the business partners and IT to provide technical solutions to meet user needs and maintain established business relationships
Communicates complex technical concepts simply and effectively to non-technical team members.
Collects, analyzes, and documents multiple clients' business requirements.
Assesses near-term needs using a structured requirements process to recommend business priorities and advises clients of options.
Participates in planning sessions with clients to improve business processes.
Develops, writes, and communicates business requirements for the design and implementation of business solutions for moderately complex processes.
Develops, writes, and communicates pre-project deliverables, such as proof of concept documents, requirements, and interface specifications, business architecture model, and use-case scenario specifications.
Conducts systems analysis with a focus on business process models and use cases.
Collects research on the competition in terms of best practices, business processes, and procedures, pays particular attention to market strategies and product development.
Performs other related duties as required.


Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field and four years of relevant technical work experience that has provided a basic understanding of organizational systems and capabilities, business operations and requirements, business modeling concepts, software development methodologies, etc., or an equivalent combination of education and experience
An understanding of business operations and requirements processes, and business modeling concepts
An understanding of software development methodologies
