Position Overview
TP Systems Ltd. is a technology consulting firm, providing business solutions to both the private and public sector for over 30 years.
Under the direction of the Business Systems Analyst, Junior Business analyst evaluates IT applications, business functions, processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement, and works closely with programmers and developers to design and integrate computer-based maintenance or development solutions to meet the business needs of the client and stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Attend client requirement gathering and analysis meetings.
Provide the Business Systems Analyst with status, issue, risk, scope creep updates
Provide input to project estimates
Provide input regarding Enhancement Requests and Project Change Requests.
Prepare and organize project documentation
Provide top level application support.
Assist in the management of budget and timelines related to Enhancement Requests, Change Requests, and new Projects.
Coordinate development teams through development cycle.
Request management and coordination of system support issues
Assist with planning and coordinating UAT testing.
Works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information system
Assist QA and end-users with verifying application functionality; and that application functionality adheres to requirements.
Skills and Experience
Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, ability to distinguish symptoms from problems and recommend sound and timely resolutions. Ability to learn and understand business processes, and manage multiple business priorities
Ability to adapt to other working styles (i.e. work well with others), ability to organize, lead, and influence others. Knowledge of project management techniques.
Experience with information technology projects and information system planning.
A “high level” understanding of application programming, database and system design, and Internet applications.
Ability to self-manage time and to meet deadlines.
Must be an excellent communicator with the able to understand and influence user needs
Education
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience and technical training.
